When the alarm is set, the clock is a good brightness for me overnight. However when the alarm is not set, it is much too bright (as evidenced it is 4am and I am posting on forums). How can I dim the clock without turning on the alarm? Note, I've seen in the instructions about getting the sunset to happen without the alarm being set but that's not what i need. This is about dimming the clock display only.

Hi there,

If you are not using the sunrise/alarm the following morning, you can dim the display screen by pressing both the '+' and '-' buttons at the same time.

I hope this helps. If you require any further help, please contact us again.

Kind Regards,

Hi,
Thank you, I've been trying to figure this out for about a year! I don't always set the alarm on the weekends because I like to sleep in. I don't want the display light on as I prefer the room completely dark. I always have to reset the alarm every Friday night & turn it on so the display light will turn off. Then I reset the alarm back again every Sunday night. The instructions above dim the light significantly, but is there a way to turn the display light off completely without setting the alarm?
Thank you!
Kat

Hello Kat,

Thank you for your reply.

Pressing the '+' and '-' buttons at the same time will turn off the display light completely and will NOT activate the alarm for the following morning.

Kind Regards,
Lisa

I'm having a similar problem. According to the booklet I can dim the time display without necessarily affecting the alarm. It's already set to 'off' and so should go off completely at some point - but it just remains constant. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Hi there,

If you have your display setting set to 'Off', the display will automatically dim when the alarm is activated.

To dim the display WITHOUT activating the alarm/sunrise for the following morning, you can press the '+' and '-' buttons at the same time.

I hope this helps. If you have any further queries, please contact us again.

Kind Regards,
Lisa
