Hi there,

I was hoping to discover how much LUX the alarmclock produces when it is shining at its brightest?

Am aware it should accompany a lightbox but am interested to know.

Many thanks,

Michael

Hello Michael,

Thank you for your query.

The amount of lux produced by our Bodyclock range is minimal (no more than a couple of hundred).

These units work completely differently to our SAD lightbox range which emit 10,000 lux and help treat all symptoms of Seasonal Affective Disorder.

The importance of the Bodyclock is the gradual increase and decrease of light in the morning/evening, not the actual light (and amount of lux) that it emits.

I hope this helps. If you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us again.

Kind Regards,
Lisa

Hi Lisa,

So just to confirm this device has got tier 1 medical classification from the light brightening (to mimic a sunrise) with a dimmer installed within the light?

Regards,

Michael

Hi Michael,

Thanks for the reply.

Struggling to get up in the morning is one of the symptoms of SAD. It is a medical device as it helps with 'winter blues', however it isn't measured on the amount of lux it produces. It is a different product to the SAD lights.

It wakes you gradually with increasing natural light. Bodyclock will help to keep your sleep cycle on track and will help boost mood, energy and productivity levels.

I hope this helps.

Kind Regards,
Lisa
